The restaurant Margarites is a three-storey building which is the result of the restoration of a two-storey building which was home to the Forest Police and the Notary’s Office of Zagori.
The restoration was hard work with lots of problems, an all-out effort, lots of issues came up but in the end all these are forgotten because the outcome is impressive. Where the old building used to be, now rises a magnificent structure, a restaurant that is an ornament for the villages in Zagori.
The restaurant has been running for about two years the gastronomic reviews about it are excellent. The Alpha Guide magazine from Athinorama ranks it among the best in Greece.
It offers two dining areas, magnificent view and exposure which surprises the visitor pleasantly. The unique building techniques used on the walls and the stonework, the traditional country furniture, the dominant energy fireplaces , the details in the curtains and the decorative objects and the two unique chandeliers, one on the second floor with the deer antlers and the big red Venetian candlestick lamb next to the fireplace on the second floor create a welcoming atmosphere.

Bar
The restaurant offers a wonderful outdoor space in a private garden at the back of the building where one can enjoy lunch or dinner or even a drink listening to relaxing music. There is also a bar adjusted to the aesthetic of the building.
